Hand made by Nonna Hall, this Butter Dish s as beautiful as it is functional job. This unique design of the French Butter Dish keeps butter at the perfect spreading consistency. The water creates an airtight seal that keeps oxygen away, therefore your butter in the lid will stay soft and fresh. When you want to serve the butter, the top part rests securely on the table.
To use a French Butter Dish, place 1/4 to 1/2 pound of butter onto its lid, then place water into the base - about 1/3 full. Use salted water for unsalted or low-salt butter.
Base: 3.5" D x 2.25" H
Lid: 4" D X .5" H
Space for butter in lid: 1.75"
