Architecture photographer Nicole England discovered that her favorite shoots were always the ones shared with a dog—nothing brings warmth and spontaneity to a space like a four-legged resident. What began as a joyful Instagram project, Resident Dog, has grown into Resident Dog Around the World, a book featuring more than 25 extraordinary homes and the beloved dogs who inhabit them.
Capturing dogs is rarely predictable, and that’s the magic. Their playful energy adds an unplanned, human touch to even the most striking architecture, resulting in images that feel relaxed, lively, and full of personality.
